Although it’s not a trend that is being spoken about from the catwalks and magazines the monochrome trend is one that never dates. I am always a fan of keeping with trends that don’t date because you can adapt them to suit the seasons and your style. We all love wearing black because it is colour that can be worn with all other colours and patterns with no shame. I find myself wearing black jeans a lot purely because of their fit but in this look I have paired black and white together.
This white blouse I ordered from Boohoo in their petite range. I absolutely adore the black simplistic detail in the colour because it just brings in the monochrome trend very nicely. I also believe the detailing in the collar gives the shirt a tailored finish which is perfect for wearing it casually or formally for work. This ability to change it up depending on the occasion works the same with my choice of skirt where I selected a faux leather skirt which I would wear casually with tights and boots. For an evening look I would bring in a heel and go tight-less.
Although my staple pair of boots are dark brown I feel they work really well with this black because they break the black up. In the same way as the tan Ralph bag does, I think with monochrome you need another colour to break the colours up.
